Lighting,
reinvented.
Built for 40-foot warehouses, K-12 corridors, cold-storage rooms,
and spec-grade projects, and the retail aisles of nine national retailers.
Three decades of OEM discipline.
From the retail shelf to the spec package — one quality system, two doors.
ALG was founded in 1997 as an OEM and white-label manufacturer. For three decades we've been vetted, audited, and approved to put product on the shelves of America's largest home and garden retailers — The Home Depot, Lowe's, Costco, Walmart, Tractor Supply, Canadian Tire, Kroger, Fred Meyer, and Batteries Plus.
That vetting is not casual. National retailers require multi-year compliance histories, safety-listing discipline, quarterly factory audits, retail-grade packaging, and the operational maturity to refill a planogram in a single replenishment cycle. We earned a place on those shelves the long way — one passed audit, one warranty cycle, one accepted line review at a time.
Out of that retail OEM discipline grew our commercial & industrial catalog. Same factories. Same quality system. A completely separate sales motion, a separate price book, and a separate set of customers. Specifiers, electrical contractors, ESCOs, EPCs, and authorized distributors never see a retail SKU in a project package — and a retail buyer never sees a spec-grade quote.
One catalog. Two doors.
ALG sells through two channels that never share a shelf, never share a part number, and never share a price sheet.

Approved to ship to nine national retailers.
Every name below ran a multi-quarter audit before our first SKU hit their planogram. Each program is active. None of these retailers stocks our commercial & industrial product — by policy.

Nine C&I families. Six retail aisles.
Two catalogs that never cross. The C&I brands are sold only through authorized channels. The retail aisles are sold only through vetted retailers.
Specified, quoted, and installed through authorized distributors and reps. Not available at retail.
House brand, co-brand, and OEM programs. Sold only through vetted retailers — never direct to consumers.
Designed in California. Built where it ships best.
Two California facilities run engineering and US branded production. A twelve-warehouse domestic footprint runs retail replenishment.
Four rules that decide everything else.
The part number is the hero.
A contractor on a Friday afternoon does not need a marketing story; they need a SKU they can read off a shelf, type into a quote tool, and reorder Monday. We design packaging, catalogs, and websites around that one act.
The shelf decides.
If a SKU does not move at the shelf — physical or specified — it does not get a generation-two refresh. We do not subsidize loyalty to our own platforms. The catalog is pruned annually, not grown.
Two channels, one catalog.
Retail and Spec are commercially separate, but technically unified. The same driver platform, the same connector library, the same warranty discipline. A failure mode learned in one channel patches both.
Engineered in California. Built where it ships best.
US production for branded volume that needs short cycles. Global manufacturing — United States, Mexico, China, Thailand — for programs that need scale. All production is built to ALG engineering specifications and reports to the same QA log. Country of origin is stated on every product and its documentation.
